description
Tiberias is based on the terrain of the Eastern Mediterranean, with the addition of a large harbour and some additional hills on the east side of the Jordan valley.
In Tiberias, most trees and bushes growing naturally are small and yield less wood than a full-sized tree. Plant new woodland to increase your wood supply.
Berry bushes are scattered over the landscape, and can also be planted by the forester.
Crops will only grow in the valleys. Hill-tops and deserts are infertile.
Stone is mined from scattered, non-renewable deposits. You'll need to build new stone mining camps as you deplete stone in each area.
Minerals are not prospected by the Bailiff, they are already visible when you start the game. Iron are the red rocks; marble is white; quartz is found in the desert; and gold are the grey rocks streaked with yellow in the mountains. Once you have 15 commoners, you'll build quarries (similar to stone mining camps) to extract the minerals. Although there are a lot of minerals on the map, they are not renewable, and if you run out you'll need to trade for more.
