This addon enhances the in-game winch system, allowing it to attach and move more than just trees. It supports objects with trailer-type attacher joints, as well as dynamic objects like bales and pallets.
Developed in collaboration with Roughneck Modding Crew, this mod is designed for use with their upcoming winch-enabled mods.
The system works by targeting either tension belt or collision-enabled shapes with the CPU mesh flag set. A small 'hard point' attachment shape is automatically injected into many in-game vehicles at trailer attacher locations.
These hard points can also be manually added to any vehicle or object in the i3d file, allowing the winch to attach at custom locations. Three user attributes can be set:
- thWidth (float): Width of the object along the X-axis
- thLength (float): Length of the object along the Z-axis
- thHeight (float): Height of the object along the Y-axis
The attachment ring size can be adjusted using two keybinds (default: Right-Shift + Colon, Right-Shift + Quote). The orientation of the attachment ring can be changed with Right-Shift + L.
This is a plug-and-play system with minimal configuration required unless additional attachment points are desired.
