Vans | Customizable Shoe Template

VANS | CUSTOMIZABLE SHOE TEMPLATE

Hey, Skater XL lords, out of pure boredom (and frustration due to not being able to find the shoes I like) I've created a fully customizable shoe template for Vans Signature Pro Shoes. EVERYTHING can be adjusted from the canvas, soles, laces, even down to the Vans logo tags and lace holes. Some items like the patches, tags, and logos can be turned off as well. I've organized the template file so that everything is properly labeled and easy to understand. This model is based on the Chima Ferguson Signature Vans Pro shoe. I've also included a texture of the original shoe if you already like the way it looks.

This will require Photoshop to use.

HOW DOES IT WORK?:

1. In your layers panel, you will find all of the elements of the shoe neatly organized into folders. I've made sure to lock all of the artwork to prevent any unwanted editing to the original file. (If you know what you're doing, feel free to poke around, although I recommend keeping everything the way it is). There is a reference file at the top that labels each part of the shoe. Make sure to turn this off before exporting.
   
   
2. In each folder, there are adjustment layers like "HUE/SATURATION" and "BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST." Use these adjustment layers to find the specific look you desire. Protip: In order to get whites, blacks, and some other colors, you will need to find a nice combination between the two adjustment layers. Have fun messing around with them, it's a little game of trial and error.
   
   
3. Once you get your shoe to look the way you like and you are ready to export, click File>Export>Export As PNG
   
   
4. Save your file to your gear folder
   IMPORTANT: When naming your file, you must have the prefix "MShoesEmericaSpankyG6_" before your desired name or your custom shoe texture will not load properly.
