Super Rotor-door Engine Driver

Feature

This is a script to drive the Rotor-door thruster, which can make the Rotor-door thruster work like other conventional thrusters, move, automatically dampen, and hover in gravitational environment.

What is a Rotor-door engine?

It is a structure that can generate huge thrust almost without consuming electric energy. It is mainly composed of Rotor and Door and has a low cost. The principle is to use the retractable characteristics of the rotor head to press the extrusion into the door block, the door block will produce the opposite force.

The difficulty in the practical application of the Rotor-door engine is HOW TO place it on the axis of the ship's center of mass, otherwise it will cause unbalanced deflection. This script uses the override gyroscope to forcibly stabilize the ship, which greatly alleviates this problem, but still requires the ship designer not to deviate too much from the axis when placing the engine.

Rotor is must?

Yes, AND it can only be the Advance Rotor of the large block and the Normal Rotor of the small block. The other two cannot achieve bidirectional thrust.

The early manual control version of the engine was realized with pistons, but it was not easy to accurately control the expansion and contraction speed of the pistons.

Installation and safe use

2. Group all the engine rotors and name it "SRE-ALL" (default name)

3. Place a computer on the ship and load the script

4. Please turn off the automatic damping after stopping the ship in a gravity environment, otherwise the spacecraft may crash out of control
