Samson Class-Patrol Ship

The Samson Class Patrol Ship, First seen on the outer edges of Human colonized space this ship performed well in its specified duties. Being quite light and agile she made for a great piracy interceptor, Commerce interdiction and policing vessel. While not overly armed in the original specifications, this class of vessel was soon up armed.

Now sporting 8 twin barreled 150mm Cannon, 17 rapid fire 43mm auto cannon, 2 single and 1 duel barreled rail gun, she was able to bring about a corvettes firepower in a small packaged ship. This in turn made the vessels market audience switch from solely police forces to small system navies as well. Remarkably this vessel was seen in company with older corvettes and destroyers on the Imperial navy reserve during the fringe uprisings of 3218AL in the Aurora Sector. You may still find these vessels patrolling in little known or lightly colonized sectors and planetary systems
