Orchard

Apple orchards work like wheat farms, you assign workers and draw a planting area. Apples are gathered to an orchard shed, and from there can be stored in Granaries and sold at Markets.

The Cider Press is a rotary donkey-powered design which was used in Medieval Western Europe. The apples were placed in a stone trough and crushed by the rotating stone. Two apple baskets are required to produce 1 jug of cider.

The selling price of apples as food is 10 gold coins, and cider sells for 16 gold coins in the Tavern. The Balancing for Realism mod and Trading with Farms mods will also have apples and ciders added with prices to reflect the balancing in those mods.

A picket fence is available from the Walls menu to surround your orchard.
