That survival base may float in the void, or could be stacked uppon' the non-windowed side (could be hard to do it, but initially this was attached to the top of an asteroid, so this is possible hehe)

You would need DLC's (decorative 1&2 mostly) to fully enjoy the interior "design" but this is not an obligation to run the station efficiently.
