Cosmic Encounter

Cosmic Encounter is a board game in which three or more players compete and cooperate in order to conquer enemy planets and spread their influence across the universe. This is done by managing one's forces of ships, playing cards at the right time and skillfully forming alliances with the other players. Each player plays as an alien race with its own unique power, allowing them to skew certain rules of the game to their advantage. Once one or more players have established five colonies on opposing planets, they win the game.

This version of the Cosmic Encounter is made of card images found on the fandom wiki and scans from a french version of the game. Including Cosmic Incursion, Cosmic Conflict and Comic Alliance Extensions

The game was originally released in 1977 and has seen a total of four major versions since then.

The first edition was published by Eon Productions and released in 1977. This edition had a total of nine expansion sets from 1977 to 1983.

The fourth and current edition was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2008, with an updated re-release in 2018 in honor of the game's 42nd anniversary. This edition had a total of six expansion sets (seven if counting the one alien given away as a promotional piece) from 2009 to 2016.
