Alquerque or Qirkat, Ancient game related perhaps to the Nine Men's Morris family of games. Thought to be a forerunner of Checkers or Draughts. The rules were recorded in the Libro de los juegos ("Book of games") commissioned by Alfonso X of Castile in the 13th Century.
