ACI Defender MK III Class Corvette, produced by Ares Combat Industries

The Defender MK III. ACI's third iteration of the widely used ship aims to take on the roles of its predecessors the MK I and MK II. The MK III features upgraded and more powerful weapon systems and the addition of a point defense system. This system proves highly effective against incoming missiles and strike craft. Therefore, the new version of the Defender will be the go to option for patrolling, escorting and law enforcement inside the territory of the Democratic Republic of Orion. Most likely the defender will be one of the most used ships in the Navy of the Democratic Republic of Orion, due to their relatively low build and upkeep cost. ACI has been investing in new shipyards in order to begin production of the Defender, since there have been several orders for this vessel not only by the DRO, but also by large corporations and other security providing companies.

Authors Note

This is the second 5th generation build that I have released. My main goal for this vessel was to add a somewhat sturdy generic corvette that would be easy to use to my fleet.

P.S: The Defender features a dorsal airlock which means that other larger vessels might be able to carry it. Only time will tell us if that is true.

Important

Do not feel too comfortable when flying this vessel on a moon, since it can only barely break away from the gravitational field of a moon. The Defender was created as a space only vessel, however if you are an experienced pilot you might just be able to pull off a moon landing.
