I found a fix to the problem everyone has:
Remove the User Attribute "onCreate=Environment.onCreateWater" from the water plane. This unfortunatly causes some of the effect to disappear as well, but it will get rid of the problem and you will have a water plane with reflection and even the ripples left, but the color is just a blurred blue and the water has no collision after this. The collision could be added back quite easily.
Maybe someone is able to write a good water shader we could use for this...
Has there ever been a fixed version for this? My map currently now has a giant pit that use to be a lake and a ditch that was suppose to be a river. By a fixed version I mean the fix to "Do not drive to deeply into water" or whatever it says.
The problem is from the waterplan indeed, sorry guys. To get the watercolor and effect is uses giants oncreate script. This mean the dont drive to deep message. It not only for the plate itself but for the whole map. I will try to find a solution. Cheers
I really like the optic and size of this Waterplane. Unfortunatly my whole Map gets affected by the water so. Everything beneath the height where i use it is unvisible underwater. Vehicles get destroyed and i am able to swim everywhere. Do you have a solution or maybe an idea what could be the problem?
Hi Smilow, Can you provide a screenshot with your problem? I am using this water plane in my map on different heights without any problems. You can either place your screenshot here or on our forum for faster support. https://www.nld-farmers.nl
Wow thats a fast support. Screenshots are online here. You can see the waterplane imported in my Map in the Giants Editor. The other screens are right from the game. Looks like i am flying but i am not ;) My Waterplane is on an height of 124 and everything under 124 is like you see underwater. I will check your forum for sure.
Its normal with this small plane when you look from beneath it you dont see it. you need to make sure you close the edges around the water. if you take a look at the other photo's you can see what i mean. its more a plane to fill ponds or rivers with edges.
I know that i just used one of them for testing ;) The Problem is that the water affects the whole Map not only the part of the map where the Waterplane is build in. In my Case the Waterplane is moved by 124 in the y-Direction. Every part of my terrain below y=124 is also "filled" with water. I cant see the waterplane there and thats allright an works as planed but im also not able to use vehicles below y=124 because they got destoryed by water and need to be reset. I am also able to swim everywhere like u can see on my picture with the MAN Truck. I able to swim over that broken Truck.
when i make the waterplane smaller, visually looks smaller but is not the case as i get a dont drive in deep water message coming up in game when near the waterplane??
Hi farmerads, this waterplane does not have that warning. This is a blank plane. If you drive into the water you will not get the messages. Maybe you have a old or other waterplane beneath it.
its a in game warning i know its not the plane, but its the plane thats making me go underwater as i do not have the problem until i add the waterplane? i am making a pond so it above ground? maybe thats the issue? i am scaling it down by quite a lot from 1 to .2 ?? hope you can help and thanks for your reply
Aha I understand your problem now. I don't think this warning is coming along with the plane when you import it. I can drive in the water without this warning. Do you have any kind of other water near your pond?
